Catechetical Ministries

 

School Ministries

Agape Youth Group: Open to all 6 - 8th grade students! Join us for food, fun and worship on Wednedays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the gym. Group meets September - May. 

HASA:  The Home and School Association is the parent organization of the school that provides resources and opportunities to our students beyond that of a traditional curiculum through fundraising and family events.

Y-Disciple Group: Open to all 9 - 12th grade students! Group meets on Sundays at 1:00pm in the commons.

Athletics:  Queen of Peace School offers a diverse interscholastic athletic program for students 5 - 8. 

Adult Bible Study: Meets weekly for various sessions throughout the year. Specific dates and times are announced on the website and in the parish bulletin.

Mini-Vinnies:  This youth conference of the Queen of Peace chapter of St. Vincent dePaul is the service learning component of our catholic school.  Children participate in several service learning projects throughout the year.

Liturgical Ministries


Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: Training is provided, only a desire to deepen your own faith is required.  Serve at 1-2 Masses monthly.

 

School Board:  This committeeis responsible for ensuring the continuity and growth of the school by implementing the school's mission statement.  School board members acts in an advisery capacity to the school principal and Pastor.

Lectors: As a lector, you will proclaim the Word of God at Eucharistic Liturgies and Vespers. Training provided.

Lunch Volunteers: Adult volunteers are needed to help serve lunch and assist with cleaning of lunch room daily from 11:15am - 12:45pm. 

Ministers of Hospitality: Help is needed to greet people, distribute workship aids, and assist parishioners as needed. 

Community Ministries

 

Elizabeth Ministries:  Women of all ages are invited to share their joys, sorrows, and challenges of childbearing years.

Ushers: Ushers are needed to assist people with seating, distribute bulletins, and assist with the collection. All are welcome! 

Our Lady's Garden:  Help is needed to plant and maintain flower and vegetable beds within our parish garden. 
Sacristans: Sacristans are called to set up for wekday or Sunday Masses, Eucharistic Adordation or other liturgical events on a reoccuring schedule.  Hospitality Ministries:  Many opportunities for fun and fellowship including:  Senior Citizen Lunch Committee, What's Cooking (meals for Fr. John), Sunday Hospitalilty (Coffee and Donuts) , Comfort Meals (meals for sick and homebound) and parish hospitality (baking for special events).
